Pablo G. Tachoes is an associate professor in the area of Computer Science at the Department of Electronics and Computer Science in the University of Santiago de Compostela (Spain).
His main research interest is related to the image and more precisely to the medical imaging where during the last 20 years he has been involved in several projects about the image enhancement, the image compression, the development of CAD (computer-aided diagnosis) system for chest, breast and lung CT and the development of PACS (picture archiving and communication systems). In the last five years he has been involved in several projects in the field of industrial radiography for the development of NDT (non destructive test) systems.
