Javier Sánchez received the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in computer science from the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria (ULPGC), Spain, in 1997 and 2001, respectively. He is currently an Associate Professor at ULPGC. He heads the research group Análisis de Imagen e Ingeniería del Software. He has spent several post-doctoral positions at the Robotvis Group, Inria Sophia-Antipolis, and at the CMLA Laboratory, Ecole Normale Superiéure de Cachan. His main research areas include optical flow, stereoscopic vision, and 3D reconstruction.
