Remote Sensing Spring School in Argentina

The paper titled "Remote Sensing Spring School in Argentina: SAR for Environmental and Production Monitoring" has been published in the journal IEEE Geoscience and Remote Sensing Magazine.


In this work, it is presented a summary of the Third Remote Sensing Spring School held at the Teófilo Tabanera Space Center, Córdoba, Argentina. The Spring School took place between 10–21 September 2018, in order to support the launch of the Satélite Argentino de Observación con Microondas (SAOCOM) 1A synthetic aperture radar (SAR) mission. More than 90 specialists in a variety of areas and representing South and Central American countries and others around the world were present. Among these experts were Prof. Luis Gomez, Director of the Imaging Technology Center, and Prof. Alejandro C. Frery, leader of LaCCAN – Laboratório de Computação Científica e Análise Numérica, and CTIM collaborator.
