The article titled "Despeckling PolSAR Images with a Structure Tensor Filter" has been accepted for its publication in the next available issue of the journal IEEE Geoscience and Remote Sensing Letters (GRSL). This work is the result of a collaboration between CTIM researchers and Alejandro C. Frery, leader of LaCCAN (Laboratório de Computação Científica e Análise Numérica) at the Universidade Federal de Alagoas, Brazil.

In this paper, we propose a new despeckling filter for Fully PolSAR (Polarimetric Synthetic Aperture Radar) images defined by 3x3 complex Wishart distributions. We evaluate its performance through an innovative experimental setup, that also includes Monte Carlo analysis, in comparison with a state-of-the-art polarimetric filter.
